How To Uninstall Windows Media Player

How-do-you-do hold down windows logo fundamental- tap R type (beat:AppsFolder) This will open to all your apps. Right click Media Actor and uninstall. You can also practice other things there! Hope this helps!

Unfortunately that doesn't do it.  When I correct click on Windows Media Histrion and select Uninstall, information technology just brings up the Control Console Programs and Features window, and Windows Media Player is not listed, and then I can't uninstall it from there.

For at present Windows Media Player is still function of the operating system so it tin't be removed. If information technology bothers y'all to look at it, you can disable it as follows: Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows features on or off > remove the check mark from Media features > Windows Media Actor.

I believe that Windows Media Role player will eventually be removed by Windows Update in favor of the Groove app. But that'due south just my opinion, and 'Bull' is in my username.

Type: optionalfeatures.exe

Hit Enter

Expand Media Features so uncheck Media Player
